New Game

I got a new computer game — the coolest one I’ve seen.

My life will never be the same, if you know what I mean.

It comes with special goggles, which fit right over your eyes,

And super motion sensors for your lips and hips and thighs.

And quadraphonic speakers that you stick inside your ear,

And a self-adjusting seat that fits most any rear.

Put all of this together, and then man oh man you’ll see,

A most amazing thing called ‘Virtual Reality.’

It virtually simulates you running on the grass,

Where you can play virtual tag, or make a virtual pass,

And jump on virtual jump ropes, or virtual trampolines,

There’s virtually no end of fun for boys and girls and teens.

You can configure characters to be virtual friends,

They’ll virtually like you. The fun just never ends!

And for just 300 bucks, an option that I like,

Will virtually let you ride a big virtual bike.

And so for hours and hours– each and every day,

I’m virtually happy, as I virtually play.

I’m virtually brave climbing the tall virtual trees.

I virtually roller-blade, and never scrape my knees.

And I wonder while I’m playing in the cool virtual breeze,

“What did kids ever do, before computer games like these?”
